The River of Pride Flag stands for inclusivity and freedom to be our authentic selves. It’s a symbol of pride and was created to unite all those who are a part of our community. We hope you’ll join in to celebrate together and support one another by lifting each other up.

The River of Pride Flag tells it story through the individuals who participate!!

You may have seen Southern Maine Pride’s River of Pride at the recent Parade (or on the news) but you haven’t seen anything until you have seen this birds-eye view.

Walk Tall!! 

 The 300 foot long River of Pride was caught on filmed carried by volunteers in Portland, Maine’s 2007 Gay Pride Parade. It was created the year before in 2006 at 125 feet long and 175 feet added in 2007 when this was taken.

Join The River of Pride Flag and the The Unity Pride Flag as they travel the parade rout in Boston’s 50th Pride Parade June 13th. We welcome all the volunteers who wish to march with the flags.

Portland ME Pride Parade June 20th 2020

The River of Pride Flag returns to the Portland Pride Parade June 20th again this year. If you would like to march with the flag please contact Portland Pride!
